Beartooth Aikido moved to it&#8217;s current location in the Tri Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland) area&nbsp;of Washington state in 2011. Beartooth Aikido is affiliated with&nbsp;<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.asu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aikido Schools of Ueshiba<\/a>, which is headed by&nbsp;<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/asu.org\/senior_instructors\/mitsugi-saotome-shihan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mitsugi Saotome Shihan<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;affiliated with&nbsp;<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aikikai.org\/about\/index_e.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aikikai World Headquarters<\/a>&nbsp;in Tokyo, Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prospective members are required to watch an advanced class at the dojo and meet Schmoetzer Sensei. We also encourage those with no experience in this art to try a class. Bring a sweatsuit or other clothing, that allows free movement and covers your knees, to one of the basic classes. If you and Schmoetzer Sensei agree, you may join the dojo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students must be at least 12 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Membership dues are payable on the first of each month. &nbsp;Payment accepted: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beartoothaikido.com\/baWPress\/monthly-dues\/\">Dues &amp; Fees<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of Beartooth Aikido are expected to maintain membership in the&nbsp;<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.asu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aikido Schools of Ueshiba&nbsp;<\/a>(ASU), see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beartoothaikido.com\/baWPress\/monthly-dues\/\">fee schedule<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Promotions are granted through ASU and cost $45 for each kyu rank.&nbsp;Kyu rank promotion requirements&nbsp;are available before the test; eligibility to test is based on both actual time since previous promotion and training time since previous promotion.
